In a stew

This has been such a crazy week that I'm just now getting around to posting the latest. On Saturday, Jan. 17, we hosted a stew social for the English faculty & significant others chez Simpson. I fixed Brunswick stew for the carnivores and minestrone for the vegetarians. Our guests brought desserts, which were awesome. Graham, husband of Hilary, played his guitar. I hope everyone had a good time. We certainly did. With all the budget cuts, hiring freezes, etc. at the University, it was nice to get away from all that and just have fun.
