Now that the project is over, there isn't much to say. But a lot has happened since the beginning of January. Art Saltzman, a longtime colleague of mine in the English Department, died of a brain aneurysm on January 8, and I had to take one of his courses as an overload. In the meantime, Leslie had to fire an employee and take her mother for a bunion removal surgery and a couple of doctor visits prior to that. She is also stewing about the right thing to do for the new wood, the right stain. The weather and our schedules have not been cooperating about painting the new garage, either. The weather was pretty good this past Saturday, but we went to Kansas City for a concert, a long day trip, and so lost the day for home projects. We are out of town this coming weekend, and next weekend I go to a men's retreat that will last till the afternoon on Saturday. Seems like it will be spring before we can get back to the garage and yard.
However, it sure has been nice not to have to scrape our vehicles in snowy & icy weather. While everyone else is scraping ice, we are pulling out our clean cars in the morning headed to work. Nice!

I was going to ask how you were enjoying parking your cars inside this winter. Must be nice!
It is MORE than nice. We can't really find the words to express how great it is to have these vehicles in garages now.
